This weather station is privately owned and operated, it is not affiliated with the City of Broomfield, Colorado,
and should not be considered an officially recognized station for weather reporting.

The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro Wireless weather station. The data is collected every 2.5 - 3.0 seconds and the site is updated every 20 seconds. This site and its data is collected using Weather Display Software. The station comprises of an anemometer, rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.

About This City

Broomfield was founded in 1877 as Zang's Spur, The town of Zang's Spur was named after A.J. Zang, owner/founder of Zang's Brewery. The town's name changed to Broomfield around 1900, because of the volume of "broom corn" which was grown extensively in the area.

The City and County of Broomfield is an exceptionally prized home to her residents who take pride in the hometown values and atmosphere they have worked to create.
